Done

   I'm done with school! 

this semester has been a whirlwind, its so nice to be done until spring, now i can catch my breathe. :) 

 Today was my very last final, which was sculpture

                              

The idea, or purpose of my sculpture was to create a self portrait. She was created out of clay, then cast in plaster, we had to transform our piece in some way, so i placed her in this setting with my things around her. also she decided to decapitate herself, this of course was not the first time she did this, it was the 3rd or 4th, maybe even 5th time, i really cant remember, but a lot. in the end i realized that she was right and she did look better with her neck and shoulders detached.

        I have been particularly inspired by winter as of late, can't figure why, perhaps its the christmas season that we have wondered into so quickly. yes it must be that,  ah i love christmas.

sorry i have not posted much of my art lately, there is so much much to post, i still have not gotten around to scanning/ taking pictures of most of them.
here is one though that i did a little while back called "trance"

Birthday

it  was my nineteenth birthday on the 21st of november

i celebrated by holding a costume dance party on the evening of the 20th, it was loads of fun! my dear friends zach and lindsay helped my soo much with decorating and just everything. the party turned out beautifully. my only regret is that i did not take pictures, here are a few pictures my busy mother took.

Some of our australian friends are in town, which has been lovely.
for halloween night we went to a party where The Graves were playing (my friends band) the name of the band was ironic considering the holiday. After we came back to my home and watched "Halloween" with some lovely's

Olivia Jeffries

i recently fell upon the works of Olivia Jeffries

i love her work for many reasons, one of them being she only works on found materiel's,  such as old book covers record sleeves and over found children's drawings, this gives her work an old feel and an identity.
